SnC 085a – Mon 08 Oct 2007

The first Session at the Barn from the home of Suffolk ‘n’ Cool.It has always been the plan to make fuller use of the barn to promote independent music.I don’t yet know how frequently it will be possible to put shows together for you but you can be sure there is plenty of enthusiasm here.My first guest is the remarkably talented singer/songwriter Terje Nordgarden from Oslo, Norway, who I have been keeping an eye on for a while now. One of the purposes of the sessions is to give us all a chance to get to know the artists a bit better, to discover their motivations and working methods.Photo: Peter Clitheroe and Terje Nordgarden at The BarnIf you’d like to find out even more about Terje, listen to more of his music (particularly that interesting collaboration with the trumpet), take a look a the video or get hold of his album A brighter kind of blue, get yourself to www.nordgarden.info. My thanks to Terje Nordgarden for his time and energy at the end of a very demanding tour and to Jeremy Gugenheim for technical management of the sessions.Theme music: Lil Diddley Vamp by DJOCListen and look-out for details of upcoming sessions on Suffolk ‘n’ Cool which you can find at www.suffolkandcool.com
